Lynn White is the Grade Level Leader for the Early Years (Nursery to KG 2). She has been with GEMS World Academy since it opened in 2014. She holds a Bachelor of Education degree from Heriott Watt University in Edinburgh.
Lynn has been an educator for twenty four years, both in the classroom and in leadership roles such as Kindergarten Coordinator, Curriculum Coordinator and PYP Coordinator. Her international experience spans schools in Singapore and in the Middle East.
Lynn is part of the International Baccalaureate Educator Network where she has trained as a PYP Workshop Leader, Visiting Team Leader and School Consultant. These different roles consistently provide her with the opportunity to work alongside fantastic IB educators throughout the world and in turn gain new ideas and understandings that she can then implement within GEMS World Academy (Singapore).
Lynn is married to Neil. Her daughter Chloe and son Jack are both students at GEMS. As a family they love to travel and continue to enjoy the many fantastic experiences South East Asia has to offer.
Lynn views the children in the Early Years as confident, capable learners who come to school with their own experiences, interests and questions about the world around them. These young learners are naturally curious and that spirit of inquiry forms part of the daily explorations and discoveries facilitated by the Early Years teaching team.
