Primary Years Teacher of Music

GEMS World Academy (Singapore) is seeking a dynamic, experienced and flexible Primary Years Teacher of Music. This is a full-time position from 1 August 2019. Supply/cover teacher vacancies 

GEMS World Academy (Singapore) is seeking supply/cover teachers to help during staff absences throughout the academic year. Preference will be given to applicants with teaching qualifications in IB MYP and DP, however, this is not a requirement.

Start date: ongoing from 14 August 2018

Requirements:

ICT Engineer

GEMS World Academy (Singapore) has an opportunity for a professional and experienced individual to fill up this role. A successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the computer systems and the associated software in the school. This is a great opportunity for an individual looking for a challenging career in an educational institution.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Main point-of-contact for all technology-related matters concerning the early and primary years at the school
  • To manage and maintain the school's administration and faculty systems
  • To man the ICT help-desk, service the users (both staff and students) in GWAS, based on the schedule and service level agreement (SLA)
  • To maintain and contribute to the development of the school-wide systems infrastructure
  • To maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of networks, systems and relevant ICT systems and their use with particular reference to their uses in education
  • Primary engineer in charge of the inventory system of the management’s choice (currently Folliet)
  • To assist with the development of school policies with regard to standards of operation and use of ICT equipment throughout the school and ensure they are applied
  • To provide support for ICT users in all areas of the school including back office and the leadership team
  • To support out of hours ICT services as required

Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 5 years minimum suitable experience in significant IT support service
  • Good personal etiquette and positive customer service attitude
  • Ability to multi-task and cope with a degree of pressure at peak times
  • Understanding of IT principals and an ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to a varied audience
  • Knowledge of MDM solutions, Windows servers, Google suite will be an advantage

Secretary to Regional CEO

GEMS World Academy (Singapore) is looking for a competent Secretary to Regional CEO.

Job Purpose: To provide administrative support in a variety of functions to Regional CEO that is focused on increasing the efficiency of the office. The candidate should be able to review, prioritise, direct and delegate a wide variety of complex and confidential requests.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain CEO's agenda and assist in planning appointments, board meetings, conferences etc
  • Has a broad knowledge and understanding of the company’s operations and business objectives
  • Attend meetings and keep minutes
  • Handle and prioritise all outgoing or incoming correspondence
  • Make travel arrangements
  • Arranges meeting calendar
  • Organises own workload and priorities on a day-to-day basis using own initiative and knowledge of work
  • Conduct research and prepare presentations or reports as assigned

Qualifications & Skills:
