GEMS (Singapore) is pleased to welcome Shelley Hamilton to our team as our new Parent Relations Executive.

Shelley’s role includes working with the PTC and assisting parents with any enquiries. Feel free to contact Shelley at

The PTC is thankful for all the donated books we received. We had our Used Book Sale in the library during last week’s Book Week and raised a total of S$1,661. The PTC will be donating 20% of the profits and the remainder of the books left-over from the event to Dignity Mama a part of Project Dignity.

We would also like to extend our appreciation to all the parents who volunteered to assist in selling these books.

Please complete the feedback form to help improve the festivities for next year.

The cleaning staff have been hanging the wet swimwear left behind in the training pool area to dry before adding to Lost and Found. Please make certain your child/ren’s items are clearly labelled so that they can be found again.

Please contact Shelley from Parent Relations at if you need further help locating lost property.

The British Council will be holding a morning information session for parents who are interested in teaching English.

The 1.5-hour session will include:

– A presentation on the opportunity for parents who would be interested in pursuing a career in teaching English to children/adult learners – as teachers, tutors or volunteers – or would just be wanting to help with their children’s own learning.

– Information on the types of teaching roles available locally, regionally and indeed, globally and what sorts of qualifications (ranging from a full-fledged Cambridge certificate to shorter 10-hour/20-hour courses) parents could pursue to be able to enter this sphere.

– Hands-on grammar/vocabulary activities that would happen in a typical English language classroom to give the parents a feel of what they would be getting into if they chose to pursue a career as an English teacher.

This session would be most useful to parents who already have strong English language levels themselves.

When: Wednesday 28 March 2018 – 9am – 11am
Location: Auditorium Lobby,  level 4

We kindly ask that you please RSVP to attend this event. Please sign up by Friday 23rd March 2018 for catering purposes.
