Wizard of Oz Musical – 19/20 May

“The Wizard of Oz is a story of teenager Dorothy Gale, who lives in a farm in Kansas City with her Aunt Em, Uncle Henry and her beloved dog, Toto.

After a harsh encounter with their neighbour, Miss Gulch, who threatens to euthanise Toto for biting her, the misunderstood teen decide to leave home.

Suddenly, a horrendous tornado whisks them away, and takes them to the land of Oz.

During her journey to find her way back home, she meets a number of memorable people, including the Good Witch, the Wicked Witch of the West, as well as many friends who teach her the value of courage, thoughtfulness, and love.

With direction by Mandi Manson, and assistant directed by Mrs. Amy Fenton, The Wizard of Oz is set in no specific place in time, but keeps the rich characteristics of the story with the use of the Young Performer’s edition of the play.

Featuring the students of GEMS World Academy (Singapore), ranging from Grade 1 – 11, expect an evening of fun, laughter and heartwarming themes to bring back home.”
