GEMS (Singapore) Sport & ECA Update

The final update from me for this academic year brings some important information pertaining to Sports and ECAs next year.

From August onwards I will be responsible for all GEMS (Singapore) competitive sports teams only.

All information related to lunchtime and after-school ECA’s and participation sports clubs will be handled by the Deputy Principals – Mike Gilmour EY/PY and Arnelle Grundhoefer, SY.

They will both present information for the first season prior to the start of the new school year.

Do take note of the following:

  • competition games for all teams will start from Monday 4th September
  • students selected for a team must attend both training sessions each week, and be available for all matches during the season
  • to be fair to team coaches and other players, students selected for 2 teams that have trainings on the same day, will need to decide on the one team they will play in for the season
  • to avoid disappointment for your child, ONLY SELECT A TEAM THAT YOUR CHILD IS ELIGIBLE TO PLAY IN BASED ON THEIR GRADE AND AGE. This is for the safety of all players.
  • to ensure all GEMS teams are fully attired in correct team uniforms, all players selected for a school team will be loaned a uniform by GEMS (Singapore), which will be returned at the end of the season.
