As the end of the semester draws to a close and we say goodbye to another great year.
We would like to ask you to think about how lucky we are and how a little act of kindness from us could have a big impact on others.
Many of us will be discarding our old school shoes or trainers and buying new ones over the holiday, due to feet growing bigger or general wear and tear. (Please note, next year, students will have the option of wearing black trainers as an alternative to black leather shoes as part of the uniform.)
If your shoes have life left in them but aren’t right for you anymore, we invite you all to donate them to school to be redistributed to those in need.
- When: Friday 16th June – throughout the day
- Where – Collection point: Under the stairs in the Main Lobby
- Why: Because things no longer needed by us are often greatly needed by others.
- What: Pairs of school shoes or trainers – please connect shoes together in pairs – tie laces, connect velcro or use elastic bands to bind slip on shoes.
Students are allowed to then wear an alternative pair of shoes to school on the last day – having given their school shoes to the collection.
Many thanks for your support in this.
There is no obligation to take part but we would love to support this charity or a similar local organization and the work they carry out in finding new feet for pre-loved children’s shoes.
