GEMS (Singapore) is committed to recognising and supporting student excellence. With a commitment to balanced education opportunities, our rigorous and academically stimulating International Baccalaureate (IB) programme enables students to view the world from different perspectives, examine various points of view and see themselves as part of our changing world community.
We offer full and partial tuition scholarships (reviewed annually), for students who display outstanding ability and attitude across a range of disciplines.

A | Overall academic excellence (Secondary Years students only) | A student with sustained excellent overall academic results in all subject areas. |
B | Exceeding in an academic discipline | A student who has demonstrated excelling in an academic discipline by, for example, achieving an outstanding result in an academic competition, such as Math Olympiad. |
C | Accomplishments in the Arts | A student who has actively participated in the Arts beyond the school curriculum and life. |
D | High performing athletes | A student who is an accomplished performing athlete beyond the school sports programme. |
F | Community service | A student who has demonstrated making a significant impact on community service beyond the school’s CAS and service projects. |
Scholarship applications by currently enrolled GEMS (Singapore) students must be fully completed and submitted by the deadline published on the GEMS (Singapore) website.
Students applying as a new enrolment to GEMS (Singapore) may apply for a scholarship at any time prior to enrolment. In addition to completing the scholarship application, all new students are required to pay the registration fee and complete the standard application process for the application to be reviewed.

The quality of personal statement and all additional supporting documentation will be considered in addition to the scholarship type-specific criteria below. Only fully completed applications meeting the scholarship type criteria will be considered.

A | Overall academic excellence (Secondary Years students only) | Students with outstanding academic achievements in the past two years. (Please note that more emphasis is placed on recent school performance.) GEMS students should achieve their overall scoring at least 6 (as the final IB grade) or equivalent on average in all subjects. |
B | Exceeding in an academic discipline | Students with outstanding academic achievements in all subjects scoring at least 5 (as the final IB grade) or equivalent in the past two years AND with demonstrated repeated achievement on an extracurricular competition or formal, external, activity endorsed by a recognized body. |
C | Accomplishments in the Arts | Students with demonstrated excellence in the Arts in the past two years. Excellence varies from talent to talent and the Scholarship Programme Committee will take the uniqueness of each talent into account when considering the application. In addition, an Art applicant should achieve a minimum of 6 (as the final IB grade) or equivalent in their Art subject for the past two years. |
D | High performing athletes | Students with demonstrated excellence in sports in the past two years. Excellence varies from talent to talent and the Scholarship Programme Committee will take the uniqueness of each talent into account when considering the application. In addition, a High Performing Athlete applicant should achieve a minimum of 6 (as the final IB grade) or equivalent in their Sports/PE subject for the past two years. |
E | Community service | Students with demonstrated significant sustained contributions and impact to community service over the past one year as a minimum. In addition, a Community service applicant should achieve a minimum average of 5 (as the final IB grade) or equivalent across all subjects. |
